Go With A Team

LET’S GO! Thousands of homes in the impact zone still need to be cleaned out and rebuilt. Many are elderly, disabled, or single-parent households.

121 teams are forming now to address urgent needs. If you can go now and/or later, please fill out this form!

If you would like to organize your own team, check out the North American Mission Board and Samaritan’s Purse. Please contact Rodney (rodney.howell@121cc.com) before finalizing a trip date, unless you plan to build your own team.

Get Trained

A basic training course from the American Red Cross is available here

Texas Baptist Men have worked in disaster relief for 50 years and provide multiple levels of training. View descriptions here.

Let’s continue to pray in our families and Community Groups for these efforts.

  • Pray for those suffering, that they might be drawn to the Lord for comfort.
  • Pray for wisdom and strength for government, church and community leaders.
  • Pray for generous gifts of money, materials and time from volunteers, and for perseverance to serve for the long haul.
  • Pray for Gospel conversations and that God would draw many who have lost so much to gain eternal life in Jesus Christ!

There are many organizations doing great work. Two of those that are trustworthy and Christ centered are the North American Mission Board and Samaritan’s Purse.

A more tangible way to give is to fill a Crisis Bucket for drop off in the DFW area.

Coordinate Efforts

Unite Greater Dallas is centralizing information about the help needed across the Harvey Impact Zone, and administrative volunteers are needed to research contacts in the affected areas, make phone calls, and update the information so efforts across the state can be better coordinated.

This can be done from anywhere at any time. If you are wired to maximize efficiency, this is for you! Contact harvey@unitethechurch.org.

Serving Evacuees in DFW

The 121 Prayer & Meeting Needs Facebook Group is for those involved at 121 looking for ways to help or to seek help for those affected by the Hurricane. Click here to access the group.

Mission Arlington is continuing to provide support to Harvey evacuees every day. Check out ways to serve and give here.

If you can provide a bed or room, Airbnb has opened a portal for those who can host Hurricane Harvey evacuees clicking here

If you know someone who is affected, you can find resources through Aunt Bertha’s HelpFinder or United Way’s 211 (online or dial 211 from any phone).
