World Relief 'Getting in Gear for the First School Year' - Saturday, August 19th from 10:30am - 12pm
Join World Relief in Fort Worth as they work to help newly arrived refugee families to prepare for their first school year in the U.S. Volunteers can help to provide backpacks filled with school supplies, pass out backpacks on the 19th, or do both! For more information, contact email@example.com.
Refresh Birdville ISD 'Party With A Purpose' - Saturday, August 19th from 9am - 1pm
The goal of Refresh BISD is to provide hope to families within the Birdville ISD community by connecting them to resources that will enrich their lives. International Students Inc. (ISI) 'Big Howdy' Welcome Party - Sunday, August 27th from 6:00-9:00 PM
Want to travel the world, but only drive to Arlington? On Sunday, August 27th, 121’s local mission partner, ISI (International Students, inc), is hosting a huge welcome party called “The Big Howdy” at UTA (University of Texas at Arlington). Your help is needed to welcome well over 1000 students from over 100 countries to the great state of Texas. The evening will consist of food, music and fun, including internationals learning to line dance! This is a great opportunity for individuals and families to interact with students from all over the globe! (Please note important parking information below for Big Howdy event.) A special event parking permit is needed to park on UTA campus on the evening of the Big Howdy event. Special permit registration can be found here. You will need to enter your license plate number and also car make, model and color. This site also gives information on where to park.
