121 is excited to welcome back Greg Koukl, Founder and President of Stand to Reason, to address some common and complex questions faced by both Christians and non-Christians.
Greg will speak in all worship services (9:15am, 11:00am, 5:00pm) on the topic of Evil, Suffering, & the Goodness of God. This is commonly referred to as the “Problem of Evil”: If God is absolutely powerful and ultimately good, why does evil exist and seem to thrive in our world? Where did evil come from, why does God allow it, and what is He doing about it? Greg will demonstrate how the Christian world view is capable of answering these questions, and we’ll learn why the presence of evil in the world is actually one of the best proofs for - not against - the existence of God.
In the afternoon (2:30pm-4:30pm) Greg’s topic will be Why I’m Not an Evolutionist. Evolution is one of the most controversial—and contentious—issues of our time. To many, those who deny evolution are in the same class as flat-earthers. Greg will outline scientific reasons why he rejects evolution by exposing the weakness of the two essential pillars of Darwin’s theory in a way anyone can follow. He will then give three powerful reasons to take Intelligent Design seriously.
More about Greg:
Greg Koukl started out thinking he was too smart to become a Christian and ended up giving his life for the defense of the Christian faith. A central theme of Greg’s speaking and writing is that Christianity can compete in the marketplace of ideas when it’s properly understood and properly articulated. Greg is founder and president of Stand to Reason and is an author and talk show host.
