LA COMUNIDAD OPPORTUNITIES

There are multiple ways to get involved in this ministry to residents in a nearby apartment complex.

SATURDAY / BACK-TO-SCHOOL OUTREACH EVENT

Our annual Back to School outreach and backpack distribution takes place this Saturday, August 23, from 4-6 pm. There are many ways to plug in, including registration, sports, backpack distribution, and creative gospel presentations.

Thank you to those who helped by donating backpacks and school supplies for the kids at La Comunidad!

ONGOING / SERVE ON THE LA COMUNIDAD TEAM

Current needs include ESL volunteers (no foreign language knowledge necessary) to work with adults, and youth volunteers to work with middle and high school age kids.

Contact Tara Sanchez at for more information about any of these items.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT OUTREACH | August 23

The start of the Fall semester is the best time to connect with new students who come from all over the world (including many spiritually dark places) to study in this area.

To help build relational bridges to these students and ultimately communicate the Gospel, please consider being part of The Big Howdy at UTA this Saturday, August 23.

  • At 9 am we will assist with a used items sale and help students furnish their apartments.
  • The actual "Big Howdy" dinner is from 6-9 pm Saturday night. Helpers are needed to cook, serve food, and hang out with students.
  • Throughout August, there are opportunities to pick students up at the airport, take them shopping, and numerous other ways to serve.

Contact Donna Gleason for more information at or 817-521-6158.
