10th Grade Girls LifeGroup Leader

Tell us about your family.

I have an awesome star wars freak husband named Kris who has loved me for 26 years and been married to me for 22. We have 2 amazing children – a volleyball-loving, kind-hearted, free-spirit 12 y/o named Addyson and our little 8 y/o wild man, Aiden, who loves playing flag football, minecraft and jokes on his big sis. Our fur-babies consist of an oversized lapdog named Roxy who is obsessed with her mama (me!), a VERY fat orange cat with a bad cattitude named Cheeto and the sweetest gray tabby you’ll ever know named Bailey but who goes by Boo.

What do you do for fun?

I know this may not be the most popular answer with teenagers but I LOVE to read!! I also really enjoy traveling and have #travelgoals that include renting a tripped out RV and touring the US with my fam. I also just really enjoy having a long dinner or coffee date with a close friend; I love hearing about the ins and outs of people’s lives.

Why are you passionate about serving with students?

God gave me a heart to serve students while I was STILL a student myself. My passion for teenagers was put their by HIM and I have been incredibly blessed to have lived out this call for roughly 25 years. There is truly no other place I’d want to be. Teenagers are so incredibly full of life and have so much potential to be used by God in such amazing ways. When a teenager is on fire for God, they are a force to be reckoned with. I also love being able to dig-deep into their lives and offer Biblical wisdom and encouragement when they need it. And, let’s face it, no one knows how to have fun like a teenager – they are a blast to be around!

What would you like to say to the parents?

Hi parents! It’s a complete joy to serve your sweet girls. I have loved watching them grow from uncertain 6th graders to these amazing, Godly young women LEADERS as freshmen. I have also loved meeting and building relationships with the girls who have joined us along the way. Thank you for entrusting them to me each week. I committ to you to always lead with love, seeking wisdom from God in decisions made, studies taught and conversations had.
