10th Grade Boys LifeGroup Leader
Tell us about your family.
I’m married to the beautiful Laura Allen (who volunteers with the 9th grade girls). Together we have a French Bulldog named Rosie.
What do you do for fun?
Like most typical guys I watch an unhealthy amount of sports. My favorite teams include the Dallas Stars, Texas Longhorns, Texas Rangers and whoever is up next on the Dallas Cowboys schedule. I also enjoy grilling/cooking and since I’m an engineer I like working on whatever I can find to fix.
Why are you passionate about serving with students?
Since Laura and I currently don’t have kids we have time where we are able to invest in others kids. I feel that high school is the beginning of the most formative years in people’s lives and I wanted the opportunity to walk alongside students at 121 in those four years of high school. The hope is that I’m able to be an ear to chew on when it’s needed, a friend when I can, and image of what living a life in Christ looks to young men.
What would you like to say to the parents?
My hope is that my passion shines through and the students are able to see it. I am always available to your students and to you as parents to talk about whatever may need to be discussed. My ultimate hope is to build strong relationships with the students and have good spiritual conversations as a result of those relationships. Please feel free to reach out to me whenever you feel it’s needed or if you ever have any thoughts you would like to share.
