9th Grade Girls LifeGroup Leader
Tell us about your family.
I have 2 grown boys – my oldest (Adam, 22) lives and works full time in SC, my youngest is about to turn 21 (Josh) is in the Marine Corps, he’s currently deployed but is based in California. My husband and I are both from England originally, we moved to Canada for 3 years, SC for 20 years and moved to this great state one year ago. I have 2 beautiful fur babies (Roo and Luna) dogs and 4 feathered babies, (Mabel, Duck, Nugget and Snowball) chickens. I’ve done lots of fun and crazy things in my life and my latest one is saying yes to the calling of joining the team, leading the 8th grade girls!
What do you do for fun?
I love working in my yard – attempting to grow vegetables! I enjoy going for walks with my husband & friends. I enjoy building things – I’m no great carpenter but I love it.
Why are you passionate about serving with students?
I believe God didn’t give me daughters so I would have this passion for these girls. I was not raised in a Christian home but came to know Christ in my mid twenties. I have time now that my boys are not home to invest in the lives of these students.
What would you like to say to the parents?
I want to thank you for trusting me to walk alongside your daughter on her faith journey. I believe it takes a village to raise teenagers and I hope you will let me part of yours. I have made many mistakes in my life and truly belief God has called me to help lead these girls and use my experiences to guide them.
