Laura Allen
10th Grade Girls LifeGroup Leader
Tell us about your family.
Hello! My husband, Earl, and I are new to 121 Students, but we are so excited to get to know you and your kiddos. We will be starting out with the 9th graders this year. We have one fur baby named Rose, who is our loving French Bulldog. We love to travel during Pre-Covid Times, but we are quickly discovering all of the beauty surrounding us in Texas. We recently finished building our new home in Northlake – and we can’t wait to have community in our new ares. I am a Nurse Case Manager At Medical Center Plano, and I love what I do. I’m grateful to be transitioned into a career which allows me to be off every Sunday.
What do you do for fun?
I am a huge crafter, all things Pinterest are right up my alley! I also enjoy photography on the side. It’s a passion that started developing in High School and continued through college and up to present times as one of my favorite hobbies.
Why are you passionate about serving with students?
I was very fortunate to have a small group leader who helped developed my walk with Christ and showed me what it really meant to be a Christian, but most importantly – they showed me love when I messed up. Ever since then, I’ve wanted to instill the same values and show the same love to students. When my husband recently asked if this was something I was interested in, I was immediately on board. We can’t wait go take these next 4 years on as we watch your kiddos grow in their faith.
What would you like to say to the parents?
I truly want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me with your kiddos. We are fortunate to get a few hours with them a week, and we’re so grateful for that time. I can’t wait to get to know them, love on them, pray for them and above all do life together with them for the next 4 years.
