“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

Jesus’ command to “go and make disciples” is not reserved for a few confident personalities; it’s the shared assignment of every follower of Christ. The sermon highlighted the difference between institutions and movements: institutions can become top-down and static, while movements are living, Spirit-energized, and carried forward by everyday people. The Great Commission is a movement command, God’s love goes outward through His people.

“Go” includes both a specific sending and an “as you’re going” lifestyle. That means your ordinary routes like work, school, practices, neighbors, extended family, the store, the airplane seatmate are not spiritual interruptions; they are often the mission field. The question is not whether you have opportunities, but whether you’re willing to see them and step into them.

Being involved doesn’t mean being loud or polished; it means being faithful. If you’re tempted to say, “That’s for someone else,” remember that Jesus places His authority, presence, and promise alongside the command. He does not send you alone, and He does not ask you to manufacture results. Just to go with His message and His love.
