Beliefs

There is one God who eternally exists as three Persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) and is the Sovereign Creator of all things (Genesis 1:1).

God is the final authority as revealed in His perfect, trustworthy, and inspired Word, which unfolds His character and His purposes (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Everyone and everything has been made by God and for God and therefore all glory belongs to Him (Colossians 1:15-20).

God uniquely created humanity in His own image (Genesis 1:27).

The world is fallen, and all humanity is separated from God because of sin (Genesis 3:1-24; Romans 3:23).

Jesus Christ is the virgin born Son of God, simultaneously fully God and fully man, absolutely perfect (Matthew 1:18-25).

Jesus Christ died on the cross, rose from the dead, appeared to many, and ascended to heaven (1 Corinthians 15:1-8).

Salvation comes by grace, through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross plus nothing on the part of humanity (Ephesians 2:1-10).

The Holy Spirit convicts of sin, seals at conversion, gifts, guides, and empowers the believer and the church (John 16:5-15; Ephesians 1:13; Acts 1:8).

The church is the body of Christ, with Christ as the Head, and functions to fulfill the mission of God (1 Corinthians 12:1-31).

Jesus will return, and there will be a final judgment (Matthew 24:1-51, 25:1-46).

All people who have faith in Jesus Christ will spend eternity with God in His Kingdom, and all people who do not have faith in Jesus Christ will spend eternity in hell (Matthew 25:1-46; John 5:24; Revelation 20:11-15).

Ordinances

This Church shall baptize by immersion any person who has received Jesus Christ as Savior by personal faith. We encourage people to be baptized as soon as possible after they believe.

The Church shall regularly observe the Lord’s Supper and encourages only believers to take the Lord’s Supper.

Our History

In The Beginning

121 Community Church started in the fall of 1999 when a group of 23 people gathered for the first time after much prayer and conversation. They firmly believed that this was God’s idea, and boldly acted upon that belief.

Over The Years

We are purposeful about reaching out to those who do not know Christ, who have been disconnected from church for years, or who have been stagnant in their faith. We are a community with Christ at the center, under the authority of His Word.

A place where people’s lives have been transformed; allowing us to tackle personal challenges and understanding our significance within His plan. And we are a church where children, students, and adults daily seek God in His Word; authentically invest in one another through LifeGroups, worship in freedom, serve others, and communicate the story of Christ locally, nationally, and globally.

In 2019, we celebrated 20 years as a church focused on transforming lives. It is with great anticipation and excitement that we move into our next five years together with ‘Vision 2025’, as we continue seeking to lead people to live for Jesus Christ!
