What are some events in life that have had a lasting impact on you? Things like getting married or having a child may happen in a moment, but their impact is lasting and vast. Significant moments like these change the way our day-to-day schedules look and the dreams we pursue and goals we have. In matters big and small, life events have lingering effects. And for people who are in Christ, there is no moment more significant than coming to faith in Christ. On a larger scale, the grace of God appearing through Jesus not only impacts our personal lives, but it has also changed the world.
After the fall, people struggled for centuries with how to be made right with God. No matter their amount of effort, they could not work hard enough or be good enough to find peace with Him. But when His grace appeared through Jesus, people no longer had to strive toward Him. He came and made salvation possible for all people. This moment changed the story of human history and has made its impact on our lives as God is at work in all who follow Him today. Because of Christ, we have hope that is alive, lasting, tried, and true. When we start to feel weary in our faith or bogged down by the stress of today, we are reminded that our great God has met our greatest need and solved our greatest problem so that even in the dark moments of life, we can walk with Him and share this hope with others.
