“For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made… My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in secret… Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; and in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them.” (Psalm 139:13-16)

David’s words in Psalm 139 remind us that every human life is known, loved, and crafted by God from the very beginning. The sermon highlighted how the Scriptures anchor the church’s pro-life conviction, not in politics or opinion, but in the truth that life begins at conception. God is intimately involved with each person, regardless of the circumstances of their conception or birth. This truth gives every person—born and unborn—dignity and value that no one can erase. We are called not only to celebrate life, but to protect and advocate for it, especially for the most vulnerable.

The ministry of the Mid-Cities Women’s Clinic, as shared in the sermon, is a living expression of this conviction. Their work extends mercy and practical help to women facing unplanned pregnancies, offering medical care, truth, and hope. The stories shared underscore that pro-life ministry is never just about a cause; it is always about people—mothers, fathers, babies, and families. It is about coming alongside those in crisis and walking with them in love, regardless of their choices or beliefs. This reflects the heart of the Good Samaritan and the heart of God Himself.

Today, let God’s intimate knowledge of you fill you with gratitude and purpose. How does believing you are “fearfully and wonderfully made” affect your self-understanding and your view of others? What would it look like to advocate for the vulnerable in your community? How can you pray for and support ministries that serve women, children, and families in crisis?

  • How does knowing you are “fearfully and wonderfully made” affect your identity?
  • Who do you know that needs to be reminded of their God-given value and dignity?
  • Pray for those facing unplanned pregnancies and for ministries serving them with compassion.
