Summary: Mark 15:22-47
When facing tough times, we tend to try to avoid the pain. Jesus suffered and died on the cross, fully taking on our pain and guilt for sin. He didn’t accept anything to diminish the pain or proclaim His innocence to His accusers. He took on our shame, our sin, and our pain and received the punishment for death we deserve.
What does this say about God?
God understands the fullness of pain that we feel. He has experienced the sting of grief and the ache of physical pain at a deep level. He went through the darkest night, the most difficult moment, and the most painful suffering so we could have hope to be made right with God.
